The hospitality demonstrated by the staff was unparalleled, exemplifying their clear passion for guest satisfaction. The breakfast exceeded expectations with homemade granola and a selection of fresh fruits. the room was situated uncomfortably close to noisy common areas, significantly impacting sleep quality. the decor felt outdated and in need of modernization. the stay had both delightful highlights and some less favorable aspects.

I stayed in a lovely king room where I enjoyed the fantastic homemade baked beans for breakfast and met the host Sara, who kindly accommodated us on the ground floor. They had a cozy shared lounge where I could unwind. A nice patio for some fresh air. Just a heads up, the room was a bit smaller than I expected, but it didn't take away from my experience. 😊

I appreciated the tasteful decor that retained its character, creating a homely feel. The atmosphere was relaxing, and I found the ground floor accessibility convenient for my needs. The view of the harbour during breakfast was simply delightful.
A few more grab bars in bathrooms could help.

Charming Stay with Just a Few Tweaks Needed
We enjoyed a lovely stay here, greeted by friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was delightful, especially the homemade pastries! Just a note, curtains for the window would enhance sleep quality, as the blinds let in a bit too much light early on.

Comfortable, spotlessly clean bed with nice pillows and linen made for a restful night. The family room featured two sofas, a big telly, and plenty of tea and coffee, all in a tidy space right by the harbour.
Interior decor felt mismatched for the price. the retro avocado bathroom suite and somewhat soulless separate lounge with odd second-hand furniture just didn’t hit the mark for me. Limited storage options. our room lacked bedside tables and drawers, forcing us to keep too much in our suitcases, which made things awkward. Only had access to a shower this time around, a disappointment since I'd preferred a bath like my last visit.

enjoyable stay with minor room issues
The breakfast was a highlight, with exceptional staff bringing cheer to the start of the day. The spacious room included everything needed for comfort, providing a super comfy large bed that ensured a good night's sleep.
There was an odd odor in the hallway near the room that slightly detracted from the overall experience.

Absolutely loved the location and how clean my private lounge was! The decor was charmingly dated but felt cozy, like a warm hug from a particularly snuggly grandparent.
Had a bit of an awkward moment with the cleaning crew. they seemed to believe in personal space a little too literally! The bathroom had that vintage 70s avocado vibe—it's all the rage, darling… not really!

missingWrote a review on 21 Mayharbour viewsclean amenitiesreliable wi-ficramped space
The room featured an ample TV and reliable Wi-Fi, making it easy to unwind after work. Nestled perfectly along the harbour, it offered breathtaking views and immediate access to local attractions.
Space was a bit of a challenge, as a couple of rooms felt rather cramped and could have used more storage options—a small wardrobe only barely sufficed. a few bathroom fixtures were dated, which might not sit well with everyone, but cleanliness wasn't an issue at all. a couple of extra power sockets would’ve been useful in the bedroom, though the sitting room had some.
